THE WATER CYCLE.The water cycle is made up of clouds, water, and water vapor. Water turns to water vapor when it gets hot and evaporates. Then it turns cold and it turns into clouds. The water then goes back to the ground as rain sleet or snow. Water is essential to plants and life on Earth. With out it nothing could survive. In 20 minutes, one thunderstorm can send down over 125,000,000 gallons of water! The water cycle is made of many things. Evaporation is water vapor, condensation is making the clouds and precipitation is when it rains.

Water ShedA watershed can be defined as the area of land that drains
to a particular point along a stream or other body of water. Each stream has its own watershed. The boundary of a watershed is defined by the highest points, all water flows to the lowest area. A drop of water falling outside of the boundary will drain to another different watershed. |
